How Much Does It Cost to Cremate a Dog?

How Much Does It Cost to Cremate a Dog?

Size and Breed Don’t Matter When It Comes to Saying Goodbye

Losing a cherished companion is already emotionally devastating. Surprise expenses only add to your worries. That’s why Best Friends believes in the importance of transparency during this difficult time. We can’t make the pain of loss go away, but we can do everything in our power to make it easier to bear – and part of that means upfront pricing and simple-to-understand cremation packages.

Do Larger Pets Cost More to Cremate?

You may wonder if the size of your dog affects the cost of cremation. Many other companies charge based on weight, leaving you uncertain about the final bill and potentially adding more stress to your grieving process. What if you don’t know exactly how much your pet weighs? What if you’re surprised by additional fees when you arrive? We believe that you shouldn’t have to deal with such uncertainty while coping with the loss of your beloved companion.

Do dogs cost more to cremate than cats? From the pet crematorium’s standpoint, there is a small difference in the time it takes to cremate a larger animal than a smaller one. What makes a much larger difference is whether the animal is alone in the cremation chamber or not.

That’s why we’ve based our pricing on the type of cremation chosen, focusing on group or private options rather than the size or breed of your furry friend. We understand that every pet holds a special place in your heart, regardless of their physical size. Our goal is to honor their memory without burdening you with unnecessary financial worries.

How Much Does Pet Cremation Cost in Albuquerque?

Best Friends offers three flat-rate pet cremation packages. The price difference comes from the addition of memorial objects and certain value-added services, like home pickup. Cost is not affected by size or weight up to our limit of 200 pounds.

So whether you are cremating a dog, cat, pocket pet, or even a beloved fish, our packages are the same:

Group Cremation:

In the Group Cremation package, multiple pets are present in the cremation chamber. While the ashes are not returned to you, your pet’s memory will be honored through a keepsake fur clipping or paw print, allowing you to hold onto a tangible reminder of your time together. Their ashes will be respectfully scattered at our dedicated pet ossuary.

Private Cremation:

With the Private Cremation package, your pet is the only one in the cremation chamber. You will receive their ashes in your choice of standard urn, with or without basic engraving. You will also receive a fur clipping and ink or sand paw print.

Tribute Cremation:

The Tribute Cremation package offers a comprehensive and deeply personalized experience. It includes the convenience of home pickup, a private viewing to say your final goodbyes, and the delivery of a memorial item. This package also provides you with the option to select a standard urn with various engraving options, as well as a choice of cremation jewelry pendant, allowing you to keep your beloved pet close to your heart.

Best Friends Pet Passings & Cremations is here to make saying goodbye to your pet as peaceful as possible. If there’s anything we can do to help you through this difficult time, we want to know. Reach out at (505) 345-5615 for more information about our cremation packages, or stop by to visit us at our Albuquerque location at 1001 Menaul Blvd NE, Suite E.
